Bins (Council Bins)

BASIC TASK

Bins (Council Bins)

Information about council bins in Australia, we don't clean them, but it is good to know the meaning of the colours because you'll need to empty the bins from the house:

In Australia, bin colors represent different types of waste for efficient sorting and recycling. The bin color system includes:

Yellow Bin (Recycling):
Color: Yellow
Purpose: For recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass bottles, plastic containers, and aluminum cans.

Red Bin (General Waste):
Color: Red or Dark Green in some areas
Purpose: For non-recyclable, non-compostable waste that goes to landfill.
Items like disposable diapers, broken glass, and non-recyclable plastics can go in this bin.

Green Bin (Green Waste):
Color: Green or Dark Green in some areas
Purpose: For organic materials like garden waste, and compostable materials.

Important: Never leave rubbish bags outside the house if they are not placed inside the correct bin. Birds can tear open the bags and create a mess. Please contact the client/office if you can't find where the bins are.
