Mould

BASIC TASK

Mould

What you need:
- Microfibre cloths
- Sponges
- Grout brush
- Exit Mould / Bleach / Toilet detergent (toxic products: read the label before using)
- Jif
- Gloves, facemask

IMPORTANT
If the surface is natural stone (granite, marble, cesar stone) or formica use only hot water or hot water + soap (sugar soap, dishwashing liquid, Earth Choice). Don't use Jif, Methylated spirits or any other chemical on any of these surfaces. If you're not sure if it's natural stone or not, use only hot water + soap to be safe.

Cleaning process:
- Spray Exit Mould on mouldy areas (only in the shower area, NEVER on Formica/wooden surfaces like around the sink)
- Leave the products for at least 15 min to react
- Scrub with Jif, sponges, and grout brush
- Wipe over with microfibre cloths
- If mould still present, spray Exit Mould again and repeat the process
- Some mould marks may be permanent and require silicon removal which we don’t do.

Tip:
If the grout is still dirty and silicon black from mould after many attempts, you need to tell the client that the shower needs regrouting and sealing.
