
Toilet
BASIC TASK

What you need:
- Microfibre cloths
- Sponges
- Paper towels / toilet paper
- Toilet brush
- Multipurpose spray
- Jif or Gumption
- CLR
- Toilet detergent
- Air freshener
Cleaning process:
External:
- Dust all exterior surfaces:
- tank
- lid
- sides
- pedestal
- toilet bowl
- behind the bowl
- pipes behind the toilet
- skirting tiles around the toilet
- walls around the toilet bowl
- any shelves
- Spray all external surfaces and wipe them with a damp cloth and multipurpose spray
Lid and seat:
- Open the lid and wipe it inside
- Wipe / scrub the seat from both sides
- If the seat below is very dirty, scrub it with Jif and the toilet brush
Internal:
- Apply Jif or Gumption to the toilet brush and scrub the brown marks under the rim, pressing firmly
- Apply toilet detergent and a dollop of Gumption (about a tablespoon) inside the bowl
- Scrub inside the bowl with the toilet brush
- For stubborn brown marks under the rim, spray CLR and leave for a few minutes, then spray and scrub again a few times
- Pour some CLR into the bowl and repeat the same process
- Flush the toilet
Finishing:
- Wipe the bowl, seat, and pedestal with paper towels
- Scrub the floor around the toilet with a wet sponge and multipurpose spray
- Dry the floor around the toilet with paper towels or microfibre cloths
- Spray air freshener
